Udupi, Nov 6: "Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will participate in the Lakshakanta Geetha Parayana to be held on November 28 and will recite shlokas,” said Paryaya Sri Puttige Sugunendra Theertha Swamiji.

Sri Sugunendra Theertha Swamiji, addressing the media at a press conference held at Geetha Mandir on November 6, said, “The grand Geethotsava will be celebrated from November 8 to December 7. The event will be inaugurated by Sri Vishwaprasanna Theertha Swamiji of Pejawra Math. Geetha Parayana will be held every day by scholars, and on Friday, November 28, Lakshakanta Geetha Parayana will begin at 10 am, followed by Geetharchana, which will be offered to Lord Sri Krishna.”

On November 28, the prime minister will inaugurate the Suvarna Theertha Mantapa, Kanakana Kindi made of gold, and the Kanaka Kavacha. Following the inauguration, prime minister Narendra Modi will participate in the Lakshakanta Geetha Parayana and recite the shlokas. The Geetha Parayana will be collectively recited by devotees around the Sri Krishna Math.

A formal event will be held at the Sri Krishna Math parking area, where the prime minister will address the gathering and take part in the recitation of Parayana on stage.

The Bhagavad Geetha Mahayaga will be conducted on November 29. Santh Sangam and Bhajanotsava will be held on November 30, which will be attended by the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath.

The press conference was attended by junior pontiff Sri Susreendra Theertha Swamiji, Puttige Math, Diwan Nagaraj Acharya, Prasanna Acharya, and others.
