Royal Enfield rides festive wave, October sales jump 13% to 1.25 lac units

Daijiworld Media Network - Mumbai

Mumbai, Nov 2: Iconic motorcycle brand Royal Enfield reported a strong 13% year-on-year growth in total sales for October 2025, driven by buoyant festive demand and a recovery in consumer sentiment. The company sold 1,24,951 units during the month, compared to 1,10,574 units in October last year.

Domestic sales were the key growth driver, rising 15% to 1,16,844 units from 1,01,886 units a year ago. However, exports fell 7% to 8,107 units, down from 8,688 units in October 2024, according to a company statement.

B. Govindarajan, Managing Director of Eicher Motors Ltd. and CEO of Royal Enfield, said that the festive season gave sales a significant boost across markets.

“With over 2.49 lakh motorcycles sold during September and October, this has been our best-ever festive performance. It’s a testament to our growing momentum and the deep connection our riders share with the brand,” he said.

Part of the Eicher Motors Group, Royal Enfield continues to dominate India’s mid-size motorcycle segment, led by popular models such as the Classic 350, Bullet, Hunter 350, and Himalayan.

The company’s strong showing comes amid a broader rebound in India’s two-wheeler market. Industry data indicates that leading manufacturers — including TVS Motor Company and Suzuki Motorcycle India — posted 8–11% growth in October sales, supported by GST benefits and festive purchasing trends.

Analysts attribute the sector’s upturn to a combination of economic recovery, improved rural demand, and the introduction of new models ahead of Diwali — factors that have revved up momentum for the two-wheeler industry heading into the year-end season.
