Maharashtra, Oct 30: A violent clash over a long-standing agricultural land dispute has left a family in Maharashtra’s Beed district battling for justice. The victim, Vasudev Vikram Andhale, has accused his relatives of storming into his home, brutally assaulting him and his three children with sticks and rods, and allegedly poisoning one of his daughters, who is now fighting for her life in the ICU.
According to Andhale, the feud between the two families has been ongoing for nearly two years. Despite filing a police complaint earlier, he claims he was pressured to withdraw the case. When he refused, his cousins allegedly broke into his house and launched a violent attack.

“They knocked me and my eldest son unconscious. They also hit my daughters — one of them was beaten unconscious, and the other was poisoned,” Andhale said.
A distressing video of the incident shows the daughters desperately trying to protect their father and brother before being chased and beaten.
“Villagers rushed us to the hospital. When we regained consciousness, we found my daughter battling for her life in the ICU,” he added.
Andhale further alleged that local police have failed to take action against the accused. “The culprits are influential and wealthy. The police are ignoring our complaints. I have now appealed to the Beed Superintendent of Police for justice,” he said.
Authorities have yet to issue an official statement on the incident. Meanwhile, public outrage is growing over alleged police apathy and the shocking violence inflicted on the family.
