Karkala, Oct 30: Several students from Christ King English Medium Primary School, Karkala, have qualified for the taluk-level sports meet held under the auspices of the department of school education, Government of Karnataka, and the office of the block education officer, Karkala. The event took place at Radhanayak Government High School, Yennehole, Karkala.
In the under-14 category, Abish, a student of class 8, secured first place in both the 400m run and 80m hurdles. Smithi Shetty won second place in the high jump, Sudiksha secured second place in the discuss throw, and Trishma, a student of class 6, achieved second place in the 200m run, qualifying them all for the taluk-level competition.

In the boys’ 4x100m relay, the team comprising Abish and Ashlyn from class 8, along with Prasthuth and Ayush from class 7, won second place. Similarly, in the girls’ 4x100m relay, the team of Hizma and Dwithi from class 8, and Hashal and Trishma from class 7, also secured second place.
The school management and teachers have congratulated the young athletes for their outstanding performance and wished them success in the upcoming taluk-level meet.
