Mangaluru, Oct 25: A heartwarming day to celebrate God’s faithfulness and to marvel at His guiding footsteps and mysterious plans being fulfilled in the lives of 13 Jubilarians, Sisters of Charity. On this day “Infant Mary’s Convent” Mangaluru - Jeppu witnessed two journeys, one celebration - 50 years of golden faithfulness and 25 years of silver devotion. It all announced the lives of sisters who shone as a witness to God’s enduring love and the beauty of hearts that fully given to him.
The 9 golden sisters - Sr Precilla Andrade, Sr Lenny Crasta, Sr Gerosa D’Souza, Sr Rosaflorine D’Souza, Sr Elizabeth Fernandes, Sr Anastella Mathias, Sr Florine Nazareth, Sr Agensmary Pinto, Sr Leena Saldanha and 4 silver sisters - Sr Arpitha Crasta, Sr Rufina Angeline D’Souza, Sr Shanthi Mary D’Souza, Sr Vinisha Lobo were honoured for their 50 and 25 years of giving, growing and glowing in the love of god.



















The solemn Eucharistic celebration officiated by Fr Vishal Lobo heightened to praise God gladly for the blessings the world witnessed through these gifts. Fr Vijay Lobo during the homily said, "Sisters of Charity is not merely your name but your identity. You have played an indispensible role in the world, cannot be replaceable by anyone."
Sisters renewed their commitment during the Eucharistic celebration pledging their fidelity and to be a sign of His presence in the world.
Each one was felicitated bringing to limelight their service to God and humanity, honouring them for being faithful stewards and for their undaunted spirit to work in His vineyard.
Appreciating the unique contribution they have made to the Institute and the world, Sr Irene Menezes, the provincial superior, said their life is a testimony of how God transforms persons. 25 and 50 years are nothing but years of God’s miracles. The jubilant atmosphere elevated the entire assembly to turn to God with a hymn of praise and renew the desire to walk faithfully in their vocation with gratitude, hope and generous heart.
