Davanagere, Oct 24: Nine SSLC toppers from government high schools across the Davanagere parliamentary constituency are all set for an educational excursion to New Delhi, aimed at inspiring students in rural areas to dream bigger and achieve more.
The tour, initiated by MP Dr Prabha Mallikarjun, is part of her ongoing effort to strengthen government schools and enhance student self-esteem. Dr Prabha said most students in the constituency rely on government institutions, and showcasing their potential will encourage greater enrolment and unlock hidden talent.

“Originally, we planned to send eight students, but two exceptional performers from Honnali were added, making it nine,” she said, adding that all travel expenses, including airfare and accommodation, will be personally covered by her.
The students—P Manjunath, Dhanush, K P Pavan Kumar, Jeshta B, Amrutha T M, Mizba Naz, Usha H, Latha H A, and Yogeshwari J B—will be accompanied by teachers B Arun Kumar and K M Ningamma on a five-day tour visiting landmarks such as India Gate, Qutub Minar, Red Fort, Kartavya Path, Kamal Mandir, and Swamy Narayan Mandir.
Dr. Prabha expressed confidence that the experience will leave a lasting impression on the students and motivate their peers to excel academically. The group is scheduled to depart from Hubballi Airport on Monday.
