My heartfelt sympathy to the family of the child who sadly succumbed to the recent bee attack. This is indeed a tragic and painful loss, and our thoughts and prayers are with the grieving family. However, it is important for everyone to understand that the bees involved in such attacks are giant honeybees — known in Kannada as “Dodda Jenu” (ದೊಡ್ಡ ಜೇನು) — which are wild and extremely dangerous. Beekeepers do not rear or handle these wild species. Professional beekeepers raise Apis cerana indica bees, known in Kannada as “Indian Jenu” (ಭಾರತೀಯ ಜೇನು). These bees are gentle and non-aggressive, and are commonly used for sustainable honey production. Even when they sting, their venom can act as a mild natural antibiotic to the human body — though one must still take care, especially near sensitive areas like the eyes or head. Unfortunately, after such incidents, some individuals — due to personal grudges or misunderstanding — try to blame local beekeepers, spreading false information and creating unnecessary problems. It is therefore essential to make the public aware of the difference between wild bees and managed honeybee colonies. ⚠️ Key Points 1. Giant bees (Dodda Jenu) are wild and cannot be domesticated or handled by beekeepers. 2. Apis cerana indica (Indian Jenu) are small, calm bees reared by beekeepers and are not responsible for fatal attacks. 3. All reported bee-attack deaths so far have been due to wild or giant honeybees, not from domesticated Apis cerana colonies. 4. Beekeeping is a beneficial and eco-friendly occupation that supports agriculture and pollination. 5. Authorities should conduct awareness campaigns to educate the public about the difference between wild and domestic bees, their behaviour, and safety measures. 6. Unfounded accusations against beekeepers harm both the individuals and the local ecosystem, as bees are vital for crop pollination and biodiversity. 🐝 Request to the Authorities: Please ensure that awareness programs are conducted in schools, panchayats, and public gatherings to help citizens understand bee behaviour, preventive safety, and the importance of protecting responsible beekeepers who contribute positively to nature and agriculture.

It's a very generous amount by siddaramaihji's govt, if the incident happened in UP then yogi would've given Rs.300 as compensation just like he had given to students for sanskrit scholarship scheme, but luckily for kannadigas thier state is run by progressive secular minded educated CM Siddaramaihji 🔥.
