Uttar Pradesh, Oct 21: For many, cracking the UPSC Civil Services Examination once is a dream come true. But for Mayank Tripathi from Kannauj, Uttar Pradesh, it was about never settling until he achieved his ultimate goal — to become an IAS officer.

Mayank’s story is one of determination and persistence. A bright student from Jagran Public School, he graduated in electronics engineering from Hindu College, University of Delhi. His father, Prabhat Kumar Tripathi, works as an accountant at the Kannauj district magistrate’s office, while his mother, Archana Tripathi, is a homemaker.

His civil services journey began in 2022, when he cleared the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) exam and became a deputy superintendent of police (DSP). The following year, in 2023, he cracked the UPSC CSE securing an All India Rank (AIR) 373, earning a place in the Indian Revenue Service (IRS).

However, his dream of joining the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) kept him going. While serving as a DSP, Mayank continued his preparation, studying late into the night after long working hours. His relentless hard work paid off in 2024, when he secured an outstanding AIR 10 in the UPSC CSE, finally achieving his dream.

Mayank’s journey from DSP to IAS officer is a shining example of how perseverance, discipline, and unwavering focus can turn dreams into reality — proving that success truly belongs to those who never give up.
