Oklahoma, Oct 19: A shooting incident early Sunday morning at a dormitory on the campus of Oklahoma State University (OSU) left three people injured, including at least one student, during the university’s homecoming weekend celebrations.

According to the OSU Police Department, the shooting occurred around 3:40 a.m. at Carreker East Residential Hall after victims reported the attack. “There were multiple victims, one of whom is confirmed to be an OSU student. All are currently being treated at hospitals in Oklahoma City and Tulsa,” OSU Chief of Police Michael Beckner said in a statement.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the victims were part of a large private party held off-campus on Saturday night. After the gathering dispersed, several attendees reportedly returned to the dormitory, where the shooting took place.

Authorities have yet to release details about the suspect, possible motives, or the number of shots fired. The campus police and local law enforcement agencies are conducting a thorough investigation.

The university has urged students to remain cautious and report any suspicious activity, while additional security measures have been put in place across the campus.
