Bantwal: Police register case after youths clash in public place

Bantwal, Oct 17: The Bantwal rural police have registered a case against a group of youths for allegedly creating a ruckus and engaging in a fight in a public place at Manchi Katte in Manchi village.

According to police sources, head constable Krishna Naik of the Bantwal rural police station was on beat duty in Manchi village on October 12 when he received information from an informant about a group of youths causing a disturbance in the area.

Upon reaching the spot, the police found a crowd gathered and a group of youths — identified as Vijeth, Rakshith Kottari, Pushparaj, Ajay, Jameer, and Mohammad Mustafa — engaged in a heated altercation. They were allegedly using abusive language and fighting in a manner that could disturb public peace and communal harmony.

Following the incident, a case has been registered at the Bantwal rural police station under sections 189(2), 191(2), 196(1)(a), 196(1)(b) read with 190 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). An investigation is underway.

    Timely intervention/action taken by Constable must have helped contain a clash into a bitter communal clash. Bantwal is a multi community Centre.

    These jobless boys have no other thing to do but violence on road.collect them all and put in a room ahere they can discuss to end.Not on road.Must have drunk or consumed drugs?Give them each one pikkas and let them do some work in estate for their daily consume.
