Udupi, Oct 14: Lokayukta officials conducted a surprise raid on Tuesday morning at the residence of Udupi district road transport officer (RTO) Lakshminarayana P Naik.

The raid was carried out following public complaints about alleged irregularities. Officials searched his apartment located at Kinnimulki, Udupi, as well as the residences of his relatives in Kumta (Uttara Kannada district) and Padu Alevoor.

Lakshminarayana P Naik, a native of Kumta, is currently serving as the RTO officer in Udupi. Along with his residence, the Lokayukta team also reportedly conducted a search at the house of Ravi from Padu Alevoor in connection with the case.
