Mangaluru, Oct 13: Srinivas University, Institute of Hotel Management and Tourism, Department of Mass Communication and Media Studies, organised a one-day inter-collegiate photography workshop and exhibition Sri-Journographix at the City Campus, Pandeshwara.

Dayananda Kukkaje, renowned national level award winning photojournalist, participated as the resource person and inaugurated the exhibition. Prof B Prashant Prabhu, dean, Institute of Hotel Management and Tourism, presided over the programme.

Photography and reels-making competitions were also conducted for the students. Participants from St Aloysius College, St Agnes College, and Alva’s College actively took part in the workshop. A total of 87 students benefitted from the event.

Prof Sushmitha S Kotian, head of the Department of Mass Communication and Media Studies, and assistant professor Prajna B served as the coordinators of the programme. Department of Interior Design, Department of Animation, and the Department of Hotel Management faculties were present.
