Lucknow, Feb 12: Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev on Sunday attacked the Congress-led UPA government over 2G spectrum issue and said that it was the first time when Supreme Court had cancelled 122 licences of the companies due to corruption of the government, but the shameless government still says that the court did not tell them anything over the issue.

"They should see that the decision came due to the corruption done by their ministers and not by some officials," he added.

He was addressing a public meeting at Dayanand Bal Niketan organised for voter awareness on Sunday.

He also criticised Union Law Minister Salman Khurshid over his repeated violation of Model Code of Conduct (MCC) during election campaigning in the state.

He said that Salman Khurshid repeatedly violating MCC while campaigning for the Congress party in the state was a shameful act, as being union law minister he should respected laws instead of violating them for gaining vote bank. "The silence of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on the issue makes it more controversial as being head of the country he should ask the ministers to remain within the limit of the laws and should not violate them at any level," he added.

Baba Ramdev didn't spare senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh either, attacking him over the statement regarding imposing of President's rule in the state. "The general secretary has threatened for imposing president rule in the state which should be condemned by everyone. There are several representative of the party who were working for killing the democratic system in the state and country," he said.

Baba also pooh-poohed Priyanka Vadra's act of bringing children on the stage while campaigning for the party in the state. As a reply to her, he brought some poor children along with their mother on the stage, addressing them as real children of the country.

He said that recently there was a lady who brought her children on the stage just to beg for the votes from the people. They should first think about the children of the country, who doesn't get food to eat, schools to study and shelter to live. "I have called these children here, so that everyone can see the difference. Somehow they get food
to eat, but they do not know when will they be able to go school," he added.

He expressed that there are some who go to the houses of the poor for having dinner or lunch with them but never ask how they manage to get that food. "I didn't go to the house of these children for having food, instead I invited them for lunch along with me as I know that they will not be able to arrange extra food for me. All this happens due to the corrupt central government which has done nothing so far for bringing back the black money of nearly Rs 400 lac crore," he added.

Baba said that the people of the state will have to play a vital role in removing the corrupt leaders from the state and country. "For the purpose, we will have to start from 2012 assembly elections, we will not vote for the corrupt candidates and will boycott the corrupt government."

"As presently every party is tainted there is no alternative for the people. We should find candidates and parties which are lesser tainted. It will be a start and surely there will be clean parties and candidates in 2014," he added.
