Mega blood donation camp held at St Jude Shrine, Pakshikere

Mangaluru, Oct 5: Donating blood can help save another person’s life, and medical camps can create awareness about existing and potential health issues, said Fr Anil Alfred D’Souza, parish priest of St Jude Shrine, Pakshikere.

He was speaking after inaugurating a mega blood donation and free medical camp organised at the Pakshikere church hall. The event was held as part of the annual celebrations of St Jude Shrine and Church, in collaboration with various associations and Father Muller Medical College, Kankanady, Mangaluru.

Assistant parish priest Fr Leo Vegas, vice president of the parish pastoral council Shaila D’Souza, secretary Sunil Moras, commission coordinator Shanti Fernandes, entrepreneur Dhananjay Shettigar, principal of Pompei College Purushottam K V, entrepreneur Walter D’Souza, camp coordinators Priya and Deeksha, medical camp and cancer specialist Dr Kumar Vasishta, and several others were present.
