Mangaluru: Hindi fortnight celebration held at MRPL

Mangaluru, Sep 30: Hindi Fortnight valedictory function and Hindi Day celebration 2025 were held with great enthusiasm at MRPL on September 26.

A vibrant cultural evening, “Sitaro Ki Raat – Golden Classic and Contemporary Songs”, was organised at MERC for employees and their family members. More than 1000 audience attended the function and enjoyed the cultural performances.

The event was chaired by Devendra Kumar, director (finance) & CFO and graced by Dr Deepak Prabhakar, ED (marketing & BD) and Krishna Hegde Miyar, GGM (HR), as guests of honour.

As part of the fortnight, 12 online and offline Hindi competitions were conducted for employees, family members and students of various school from close vicinity. Nearly 700 employees and 500 students enthusiastically participated in the various competitions. Certificates were presented to the winners during the Hindi Day celebration.

On the occasion, dignitaries released the 14th edition of MRPL Pratibimb Hindi Grah Patrika.

Addressing the gathering, the chair, Devendra Kumar, stressed the importance of using Hindi in its simplest form, noting that the simpler the language, the more effective the communication.
