Udupi, Sep 28: The newly relocated showroom of ‘Girija Surgicals’ was inaugurated on Sunday, September 28, at ground floor of Ashraya Towers near Jodukatte, Udupi.
The inauguration was held with great enthusiasm, with MAHE pro-chancellor Dr H S Ballal, Udupi MLA Yashpal Suvarna, and Kaup MLA Gurme Suresh Shetty formally inaugurating the showroom by cutting the ribbon and lighting the lamp.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr H S Ballal praised proprietor Ravindra Shetty for serving society through Girija Surgicals. He highlighted that the store has brought under one roof a wide range of essential healthcare products, especially benefiting the elderly, and had been of immense help during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“The company has all the products required for the senior citizens and to common people also,” he said. “The products required especially for diabetic patients such as water bed, diabetic footwear, are also available here. Few surgical items are costly, so the company has introduced rent basis usage, which is a very ideal concept,” he added.

He even considers the situation of patients out of business. Renting of the equipment is also a unique concept designed by him, he is helping the people without any publicity.”
