Udhampur, Sep 20: An Indian Army soldier was injured in an encounter between security forces and terrorists in the Seoj Dhar area of Udhampur on Friday. The soldier has been admitted to the Command Hospital in the district. The operation, which began overnight, is ongoing, with two to three terrorists believed to be trapped by army personnel.
The White Knight Corps posted an update late Friday night, confirming contact with terrorists along the Doda-Udhampur border. “Update | Contact site of the ongoing operation is Doda-Udhampur border. Operation continues,” the post on X read.

Earlier, at around 8 pm, an intelligence-based operation in Kishtwar led to an exchange of fire between security forces and terrorists. The Indian Army and Jammu & Kashmir Police are jointly conducting the operations.
IGP Jammu confirmed on X around 11 pm, “On actionable intelligence, contact established with terrorists at Seoj Dhar. Encounter in progress. Joint teams of SOG-JKP and Indian Army on ground.”
This operation follows a previous incident in Kulgam on September 8, where two army personnel were injured in an encounter and later succumbed to their injuries. The Chinar Corps paid tribute to the fallen soldiers, Sub Perbhat Gaur and L/Nk Narender Sindhu, saying their bravery and dedication will “forever inspire us.”
