Four pilgrims dead in bus-truck collision on Lucknow-Varanasi highway

Jaunpur, Sep 15: In a tragic mishap on the Lucknow-Varanasi National Highway near Sihipur village, four pilgrims lost their lives and nine others sustained serious injuries when a bus collided with a truck early Monday morning.

The bus, carrying 50 devotees from Ayodhya to Varanasi, reportedly crashed into the truck around 5 am. while attempting to overtake, severely damaging the front of the vehicle. Locals and police rushed to the scene to rescue the injured, who were immediately taken to the district hospital for treatment.

Authorities have seized both the bus and the truck as investigations continue into the cause of the accident.
