Moodbidri, Sep 15: The bail plea of Mahesh Vikram Hegde, who was arrested on Friday for allegedly posting a derogatory message on Facebook using chief minister Siddaramaiah’s photo in connection with the Maddur Ganeshotsava clash, will be heard in the Moodbidri court on Monday.
The public prosecutor is expected to record a statement during the hearing.
Meanwhile, on Sunday evening, prominent members of the Hindu community gathered at Hanuman Temple in Moodbidri to protest Hegde’s arrest.

They held a mass prayer session, chanting the Rama Taraka Mantra and reciting the Hanuman Chalisa, seeking his early release.
