Schoolgirl slashed with blade by teenage girls after classroom clash in Delhi

New Delhi, Sep 12: A shocking case of school rivalry took a violent turn in Delhi’s Rohini, where a teenage girl was allegedly attacked with a blade by a group of girls following a classroom dispute, police said on Thursday.

The incident occurred on September 9. According to police, the victim was first slapped by the assailants and then slashed on her face and back with a blade. The attackers, four girls aged between 14 and 16, are said to be friends of two sisters — one of whom had a previous quarrel with the victim.

Investigations revealed that the victim had an altercation on September 4 with one of the sisters in school. Seeking revenge, the sisters allegedly conspired with their friends, who study in another school, and carried out the assault.

Police have registered a case and further inquiry is underway.
