Bengaluru, Sept 11: The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has released the final (third) round of seat allotments for UGCET 2025, covering engineering and other undergraduate professional courses.
Candidates allotted seats in this round have been strictly instructed to report to their assigned colleges by September 13, with no further choices or reallocation options available, KEA executive director H Prasanna confirmed.
Candidates must pay the prescribed fees by 2:30 pm on September 13, and download their admission order by 5:30 pm the same day. Failure to comply will result in forfeiture of the allotted seat.“All candidates who have been allotted seats in this final round must compulsorily join the respective colleges. There is no provision for choice-based upgradation or withdrawal,” clarified Prasanna.
Medical, Dental, and AYUSH counselling
KEA stated that final allotment results for medical, dental, and AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha, Homoeopathy) courses will be announced only after the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) publishes its results. Until then, candidates aspiring for medical-related courses have been advised to wait patiently.
Nearly 15,000 Engineering seats handed over to colleges
A total of 14,940 engineering and 413 architecture seats that remained unallotted in this round have now been transferred to the respective colleges. KEA further clarified that any remaining seats still unclaimed after the final admission deadline will also be handed over to the institutions for direct admission processes as per government rules.
Interestingly, candidates who have already secured a seat through UGCET—including in engineering — can still participate in medical/dental counselling by paying a caution deposit. If such candidates are allotted a medical seat in the next rounds, they will be allowed to take admission, overriding their previous allotment.
