Dengue Overview
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), dengue is a viral illness transmitted by infected Aedes mosquitoes, most commonly found in tropical and subtropical regions. While many infected individuals show no symptoms, those who do often suffer from high fever, severe headaches, nausea, body pain, and rash. In some cases, dengue can progress to a severe form requiring hospitalization and may be life-threatening.
Health authorities continue to urge citizens to remain vigilant, eliminate mosquito breeding grounds, and seek medical attention promptly if symptoms appear.
