Palghar, Sep 6: In a disturbing incident in Bibaldhar village, Palghar, a man allegedly raped and killed his minor fiancee on Wednesday after she refused to engage in physical relations, police said.
The accused, Nilesh Dhongda, reportedly committed the crime while the girl’s parents were working in the fields. He fled into a nearby forest after the attack. The victim’s parents found her body upon returning home.
A case was registered based on the mother’s complaint. The accused has been arrested and sent to police custody, while the body has been sent for post-mortem, officials added.
