Noida, Sep 5: In a shocking case from Uttar Pradesh, a 22-year-old delivery man has been arrested for allegedly threatening a woman at knifepoint, forcing her to strip, recording obscene videos, and later circulating them on social media, police confirmed on Friday.
The accused, identified as Gaurav, a resident of Gulistanpur village, was employed in delivering milk and groceries to the victim’s house.
According to the complaint filed at Surajpur police station, the incident occurred when Gaurav barged into the woman’s home while her children were asleep. He allegedly held a knife to her young son’s neck and coerced her to undress, recording the act on his mobile phone.
The victim stated that Gaurav repeatedly used the videos to blackmail her, threatening to kidnap her daughter and leak the clips to her husband, who is employed in Ahmedabad. Despite her resistance, the accused is alleged to have eventually shared the recordings with her husband and made them viral.
Police arrested Gaurav from the Surajpur area on Wednesday and recovered his mobile phone. He has been booked under Section 76 (assault or use of criminal force to disrobe a woman) and Section 351 (criminal intimidation) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), in addition to Section 67 of the IT Act, which pertains to publishing or transmitting obscene content in electronic form.
Authorities are investigating whether the accused has targeted other women using similar methods.
