Singapore, Aug 27: The Tulu-speaking community in Singapore achieved a proud milestone with the successful conduct of the Tuluver Badminton League (TBL) 2025, held at Fernvale Village. Conceived as a platform to blend sports, culture and community spirit, the tournament turned out to be a grand success, made possible by the commitment of organizing team, volunteers, the enthusiasm of players and the generous support of sponsors.

Champions crowned

The atmosphere at Fernvale Village - Singapore was charged with excitement as 10 spirited teams displayed grit, determination and teamwork in thrilling rallies. At the end of intense matches, the following teams emerged victorious:

• Winners – Puttur Royals: Nagaraj, Vyshali, Shashiraj, Ithihas, Vinitha
• 1st Runner-up – Karla Strikers: Errol, Lakshya, Prasan, Suvyakta, Kashini
• 2nd Runner-up – Surathkal Strikers: Sachidananda, Shreya, Durgadas, Priya, Naveen

The matches not only highlighted sporting excellence but also the spirit of camaraderie among participants.

A collective effort

The success of TBL 2025 was the outcome of a remarkable team effort. The core organising members—Amber, Ashvith, Chetan and Sanjay—took the lead in managing everything from selections and fixtures to logistics and community coordination. Their vision and commitment laid the groundwork for the event.

Equally noteworthy was the contribution of the referees, volunteers and executive committee members, who extended their wholehearted support in managing registrations, officiating matches, handling logistics and ensuring the smooth running of the tournament. Their behind-the-scenes efforts ensured that the event was executed in a professional and memorable manner.

The tournament was further strengthened by the support of sponsors Landtrades Builders, Mangaluru, and Tetherfi, whose contributions were instrumental in its success.

More than a tournament
