Bantwal, Aug 25: To counter alleged misinformation against the revered shrine of Dharmasthala and to spread awareness while expressing solidarity with the temple, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) organised a Dharma Awareness Yatra on Monday, August 25 afternoon with participation from all its mandals.
MLA Rajesh Naik Ulippady inaugurated the yatra in Bantwal. Addressing the gathering, he said, “Dharmasthala is a sacred centre with thousands of years of history. To stand united against false propaganda and strengthen the shrine, the BJP along with affiliated organisations has organised this yatra.”


BJP leader Devadas Shetty said that around 100 vehicles from Bantwal taluk took part in the awareness rally.
Former MLA Rukmaya Poojary, BJP mandal president Chennappa Kotyan, and leaders including Vishwas Puttur, Harikrishna Bantwal, Sulochana Bhat, Sarapady Ashok Shetty, Monappa Devasya, Srikant Shetty, and Ramdas Bantwal were present.
