Mangaluru’s 8-year-old prodigy Rushabh Rao brings glory to India on international stage

Mangaluru, Aug 25: Rushabh Rao, an eight-year-old child prodigy from Kulasekhara, Mangaluru, has brought laurels to India at an international fashion and talent platform. A Class 3 student of Lourdes Central School, Bejai, Rushabh has already showcased his talent in multiple fields despite his young age.

Rushabh’s journey began with dance at the age of four when he joined Aryans Dance Studio under the guidance of Naveen Shetty. He participated in several competitions, winning prizes and admiration for his confident stage presence.

Alongside dance, he developed an interest in acting. He has already appeared in three Tulu films and the Kannada television serial Neenenade Na, earning recognition as a child actor. His multifaceted journey at such a young age has inspired many children.

In May 2025, Rushabh won first place in the Prince category at the Junior International Model Fashion Show Competition held in Goa. This marked a turning point in his career, leading to the opportunity to represent India at the International Fashion Show Competition organized by Fashion Runway International in Vietnam from August 13 to 17.

On the global stage, Rushabh secured first place in the Prince category and was also awarded the Super Talent title, bringing pride to India with his achievement.

His success was the result of extensive training and teamwork. Dance and talent round training was provided by Naveen Shetty of Aryans Dance Studio, Mangaluru. Suits and traditional attire were designed by Varsha V. Acharya, while his national costume was prepared by Vipin Arts, Mangaluru. Fashion show training was guided by Rahul Ameen, Mangaluru.

Family support played a crucial role in his achievement. Rushabh’s parents Rakshith and Ashwini, his sibling Riansh, and close family friends Rahul Ameen, Pavan, and Nagendra constantly encouraged and supported him, making this accomplishment possible.

Rushabh Rao’s international success has brought pride to Mangaluru and further strengthened the cultural reputation of Karnataka and India. With his talent and determination, greater achievements on the global stage are expected from him in the future.
