Mangaluru, Aug 22: The coffee table book of 362 pages, titled ‘Temples of Goa – A Spiritual Odyssey’, which is a well-researched book published by World Konkani Centre, Shaktinagar, designed and produced by Tarjani Communications Pvt, Ltd, Mangaluru, providing details on 50 temples of Goa, was presented to PM Sri Narendra Modi by the chief minister of Goa, Pramod Sawant on August 19, the chairman of Tarjani Communications Pvt Ltd, Sanjay Prabhu announced.
The well-illustrated book contains details of history, legend, architecture, deities, kulavis, festivals and many other cultural practices of Goan temples. The introductory chapters on Goan history, economy, religion and culture are presented in an easy-to-read style with visuals that complement the matter effectively. The information about the temples is backed by impeccable research. Dr Bharathi Shevgoor, editor, Tarjani Communications, is the researcher, writer and chief editor. The spiritual ambience of these places of worship has been portrayed with finesse. The beautiful images in this book were photographed by Annu Mangalore.

First published in 2015, the book was reprinted by the Govt of Goa earlier this year, as part of Goa Statehood day celebrations of 2025. This is Tarjani’s very first coffee table book and since then, the institution has gained a reputation for producing many more coffee table books, backed by in-depth research and aesthetic designs.
That the book was presented to the PM by the CM of Goa is a great honour and truly memorable moment for Tarjani Communications Pvt Ltd. The book is a keepsake and has been widely appreciated by the public at large.
