Aloma Lobo also secured the 2nd prize for the best MC.

The school also marked the Konkani Manyatha Divas with a prayer and an assembly. The Konkani-speaking students of the school put up a short yet meaningful cultural programme in the school auditorium which beautifully highlighted the richness of Konkani culture and traditions.

The programme showcased various aspects of Konkani life, beginning with the basic ethics of greeting elders in the traditional Konkani way. Students then presented glimpses of age-old practices such as children engaging in traditional games, the soothing lullaby cradle song, gumta, vovyo, vers, and vibrant Konkani songs and dances. The audience was also treated to a lively Konkani comedy, along with portrayals of traditional delicacies, voje purshanv, and the customary roce ceremony. Each performance reflected the deep-rooted heritage and charm of the Konkani community.

The students’ efforts and performances were warmly appreciated by the school administrator, Sr Carissima, who graced the occasion. In her address, she reminded the audience that Konkani is an integral part of the community's heritage and culture. She encouraged the students to make a conscious effort to converse in Konkani in their homes so as to keep the language alive and thriving for generations to come.

The celebration instilled in the students a sense of pride in the Konkani language and emphasized the importance of preserving its traditions while fostering unity in diversity.
