Udupi, Aug 19: On the occasion of the 186th World Photography Day, the South Kanara Photographers’ Association, Udupi Zone, in association with Prasad Nethralaya, organized a free eye check-up camp at Jagannatha Sabha Bhavana, Udupi.
As part of the programme, Dr Krishna Prasad of Prasad Nethralaya was felicitated for his contribution. Senior photographer Padigaru Lakshmi Narayana Upadhyaya was also honoured on the occasion. In addition, financial assistance was extended for the health needs of members.
The event was presided over by Udupi Zone president Sudhir M Shetty. District vice-president Praveen Correa, Udupi Zone honorary president Naveen Ballal, secretaries Divakar Hiriyadka and Ramesh Bhat were present.
More than 70 members participated in the camp, which focused on promoting eye health among photographers.
