Suresh Raina appears before ED in illegal betting app probe

New Delhi, Aug 13: Former Indian cricketer Suresh Raina on Wednesday appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with an alleged illegal betting app-linked money laundering case. His statement is being recorded under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

The ED is probing the betting app 1xBet, along with other similar platforms accused of duping people of crores of rupees and evading taxes. Raina is reportedly linked to the app through endorsements.

In Hyderabad, actress Lakshmi Manchu also appeared before the ED in a related case. Actors Prakash Raj, Vijay Deverakonda, and Rana Daggubati have earlier been questioned in the probe.
