Bantwal, Aug 11: Jagannath Shetty, who was serving as head constable at the Bantwal DySP’s office, has been promoted as assistant sub-inspector and transferred to the Bantwal Rural Police Station.

Joining the police department in 1997, Shetty has served at various police stations across the district.

After reporting for duty at Bantwal police station in 1998, he went on to serve in the Mangaluru City Anti-Rowdy Squad, Bantwal Circle Inspector’s office, Uppinangady police station, Bantwal rural, Punjalkatte, Mangaluru Additional SP’s office, ISD Bantwal and several other postings. Upon promotion as head constable, he was transferred to Bantwal traffic police station. He later served in the Forest Mobile Unit, Mangaluru, Special Branch at the SP’s office, Bantwal town police station, and most recently at the DySP’s office in Bantwal.

With his latest promotion to ASI, Shetty will now take charge at the Bantwal rural police station.
