Kadaba: Elderly man killed after jeep rolls back on village road

Kadaba, Aug 7: An elderly man lost his life after being crushed by a jeep that rolled back due to negligent driving on a mud road near his residence in Bilinele, Kadaba.

The incident occurred on the afternoon of Thursday, August 7. According to the police, the accused Dinesh, son of Dharmapal, a neighbour of the complainant Nagesh (45), a resident of Bilinele, was reversing a jeep (KA-19-M-8745) carelessly and without caution on an uphill stretch near Nagesh’s house.

The jeep reportedly rolled backwards suddenly and toppled onto Dharmapal (68), who was standing behind it. The complainant and local residents immediately rushed him to the Kadaba government hospital, where doctors declared him dead at 2 pm.

A case has been registered at Kadaba police station under crime number 54/2025, invoking Sections 281 and 106 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
