Puttur, Aug 4: The invitation card for the 4th annual Sri Krishna Janmashtami Mosaru Kudike Utsav organised by the Samuhika Sri Krishna Janmashtami Samiti, Bappalige-Singani, was released by MP Capt. Brijesh Chowta at Sri Mahalingeshwara Temple in Puttur.
BJP rural mandal president Dayanand Shetty Ujiremar, honorary president of the committee Ramachandra K Rao, president Mohan Gowda Singani, general secretary Likhith Raj Aras, former president Ravi Bappalige, and members Vasanth Bappalige, Subrahmanya Singani, Dhanvith Singani, Suresh Nekkithapuni, Kittanna Madikeri, Sanvi Bappalige, Mahesh Singani, Sandeep Bappalige, Shashikumar Singani, Timmapppa Bappalige, Jagadeesh Singani, Balakrishna Singani, Niteeksh and Nithin were present at the ceremony.


This year’s Sri Krishna Janmashtami Mosaru Kudike Utsav will be held on August 24. Noted Tulu actor Aravind Bolar and Daijiworld media founder Walter Nandalike will be special guests, adding glamour to the festivities.
A grand procession will begin at 8:30 am from Bappalige Bypass, featuring participants in Sri Krishna attire, Kerala chende, folk dances, bhajans, doll dance, band performances, and firework displays. The event will also host exciting competitions such as tall pole, cross pole, tug of war, and other traditional games. The winner of the tall pole competition will receive a cash prize of Rs 3,501 and a memento.
The inaugural programme at 10:30 am will be attended by Sri Mahalingeshwara Temple Management Committee president Panjigudde Ishwar Bhat, Balnadu Dandanayaka Ullalthi Daivasthana chief priest Ravichandra Nelliththaya, Puttur Youth Empowerment and Sports department supervisor Srikanth Poojary Biravu, Puttur municipal vice president Balachandra Kemminje, councillor Naveen Kumar, and BJP leader Muralikrishna Hasantadka.
The valedictory programme at 5:30 pm will witness the presence of MLA Ashok Kumar Rai, former MLA Sanjeeva Matandoor, Hindu leader Arun Kumar Puthila, Dr Ravi Narayan Bhat of Sanjeevini Clinic, and Dhananjay of Patla Friends Kalleka, among others.
