The deceased has been identified as Ibrahim B, a resident of Mutt, and proprietor of the Fashion World garment store located in the Grama Panchayat building near the Uppinangady bus stand.

According to sources, Ibrahim was travelling on his two-wheeler from his residence towards his shop when a collision occurred between his bike and a lorry, leaving him critically injured. He was being rushed to Mangaluru for treatment but tragically succumbed to his injuries en route.

Ibrahim, son of Adam Haji of Kundaje, Ramakunja village, had worked in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, before returning to his hometown a decade ago to settle down and start his own garment business in Uppinangady.
