Mangaluru, Aug 3: Reshel Bretny Fernandes, a promising young author and orator from Mangaluru, continues to make waves in the literary and youth empowerment arenas. In a remarkable achievement, she will be honoured at a prestigious literary festival to be held in Thailand this August, organised by The Authors of India to celebrate literary excellence across borders.
This international recognition comes close on the heels of another milestone in her journey. Fernandes recently presented her thought-provoking book, ‘Bharat at 2047 – Role of Youth’, to Anil K Antony, national secretary and spokesperson of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and in-charge of the North Eastern states. The meeting took place in New Delhi, where Antony—son of former defence minister A K Antony—appreciated Fernandes' vision and commitment to nation-building through youth engagement.

Adding to her growing list of accolades, Fernandes was earlier conferred with a national honour by the Bharatiya Yuva Welfare Foundation, New Delhi, for her contributions to literature and youth development. The event, organised in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism (Jammu & Kashmir), the Ministry of Defence, and other government departments, was held at the Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya Auditorium.
The prestigious award was presented by Uttar Pradesh minister and MLA Raghuraj Singh in the presence of union ministers, top government officials, and distinguished personalities from across India.
