Raghavendra Chandan wins gold at Mumbai regional bodybuilding championship

Mumbai, Aug 1: Raghavendra Chandan, a resident of Ashokvan in Dahisar East, clinched the gold medal at the Mumbai regional-level ‘Muscle Mania’ bodybuilding competition held on July 27 at the Mysore Association Hall in Matunga, as part of an international bodybuilding exhibition.

The competition is an annual event organized in various parts of the world, including India.

Raghavendra Chandan, a former employee of the Kannada daily Karnataka Malla and a member of the Kannada Journalists’ Association Maharashtra, currently works for a private company. He is the son of Ramesh Chandan and Mukambu Chandan of Dahisar East.

By winning the gold medal in the regional category, he has now qualified directly for the national-level competition scheduled to be held in New Delhi this December.
