New Delhi, Jul 26: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has once again secured his position as the world’s most popular democratic leader, earning an impressive 75% approval rating in the latest global survey conducted by US-based intelligence firm Morning Consult.
According to the data collected between July 4 and July 10, 2025, PM Modi leads the international list of democratic leaders, with three out of every four respondents expressing a favourable opinion. Only 18% disapproved, and 7% remained undecided.
South Korean President Lee Jae Myung, newly elected just weeks ago, followed in second place with a 59% approval rating. Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump, who returned to the White House last year, ranked eighth with 44% approval.

Morning Consult's rolling seven-day average approach gathered real-time insights from thousands of adults across major democratic nations. PM Modi has consistently topped the list since 2021, maintaining approval ratings between 70% and 76%, far outpacing his global counterparts.
The Prime Minister’s continued popularity is attributed to his government’s focus on economic stability, robust foreign policy, and social welfare programs. His recent re-election in May 2024 for a third consecutive term has further reinforced his public support both at home and abroad.
In addition to topping the global approval ratings, PM Modi has also reached a major milestone in Indian political history. On Friday, he officially became the second-longest-serving Prime Minister in India’s history with 4,078 consecutive days in office — surpassing Indira Gandhi’s record of 4,077 days.
PM Modi first took office on May 26, 2014, and has now completed over 11 years and 60 days in power, marking a significant chapter in India’s leadership timeline.
