Mangaluru, Jul 25: Karnataka health minister Dinesh Gundu Rao has alleged misuse of the Election Commission during the recent Lok Sabha elections in Karnataka and stated that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has gathered enough information regarding the issue.
Speaking to the media in Mangaluru, Gundu Rao said, "Rahul Gandhi has collected substantial information. The way things happened in Maharashtra and Bihar, similar events took place in Karnataka as well. Rahul Gandhi is aware of all this and will soon bring it to public attention."

He further expressed concern over the functioning of the Election Commission, stating, "Our faith in the Election Commission is diminishing, which is dangerous for a democratic system. The Commission must remain impartial, as it plays a crucial role in democracy. However, their actions, statements, and conduct today suggest collusion. This is truly a crisis."
Referring to recent judicial observations, he added, "We all saw what the Supreme Court recently said about the ED. What more examples are needed? Today, the ED, IT, CBI, and Election Commission all appear to be working in coordination."
Gundu Rao emphasized that the country has been under authoritarian rule for the past 11 years. "The aim is to eliminate opposition parties and silence all dissenting voices," he said.
Commenting on minister K N Rajanna’s statement regarding a ‘September Revolution’, Gundu Rao said in Mangaluru, "It is up to minister Rajanna to respond to that. We cannot respond to everything. According to us, everything is fine. We are all united. There is no revolution; everything is in order."
Responding to minister Rajanna’s remark that AICC leader Randeep Singh Surjewala held meetings with government officials, Gundu Rao said, "I am not aware of any such meeting. If any MLAs or party leaders were called, I know about that, but I have no information about any meetings with officials."
