Mangaluru, Jul 22: The monsoon session of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly will be held from August 11 to 22, announced speaker U T Khader at a press conference on Monday.
The session is scheduled to begin at 11 am on August 11. "At present, 12 days have been allotted for the session. A meeting of the Chief Minister, opposition leaders, and senior leaders will be convened next week to discuss the possibility of extending the session and to finalise other related matters," Khader informed.

He also revealed that a delegation from the Karnataka legislature will participate in the National Legislative Summit to be held in Boston, USA, from August 3 to 6. "The speaker of the Legislative Assembly, chairman of the Legislative Council, 12 MLAs, and Council members will be part of the delegation. We will leave for the USA on July 27," he said.
The summit will witness participation from representatives of various countries, with discussions focused on laws, constitutions, and the role and challenges of NGOs across the globe.
