Red alert in Kasargod: Holiday declared for schools, colleges on July 18

Daijiworld Media Network - Kasargod

Kasargod, July 17:
In view of the red alert issued by the Central Meteorological Department for July 18, the Kasargod district administration has declared a holiday for all educational institutions across the district on Friday, July 18.

Heavy and continuous rainfall in the district has led to the overflow of major rivers and flooding in low-lying areas. Considering public safety, the district collector has ordered the closure of all schools, colleges, professional institutions, central schools, tuition centres, madrasas, anganwadis, and special classes for the day.

However, all pre-scheduled examinations—including university, professional, and departmental exams—will be held as per original schedule without any changes in timing.
