V Anbukumar appointed Karnataka chief electoral officer

Bengaluru, Jul 9: Senior IAS officer V Anbukumar has been appointed as the new Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of the Central Election Commission in Karnataka.

The 2004-batch officer replaces Manoj Kumar Meena, who held the post since October 2021.

An official order was issued on Tuesday by the department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms.

Prior to this appointment, Anbukumar was serving as the Secretary of the State Housing Department.
