Udupi, July 3: The state government has appointed senior IAS officer Rohini Sindhuri, currently serving as Secretary to the Labour Department, as the nodal (in-charge) secretary for Udupi district.
This appointment is part of the government’s initiative to strengthen monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of development projects, surprise inspections, and administrative implementation at the district level. Similar nodal secretaries are being assigned to all districts across Karnataka.
Rohini Sindhuri replaces Satyavati, who previously held the position but retired recently, leaving the post vacant.
As per protocol, nodal secretaries are expected to periodically visit the assigned district, conduct review meetings, and submit detailed reports to the state government on the progress of key schemes and governance issues.
