New Delhi, Jul 3: In a chilling double murder, a woman and her teenage son were found dead in their home in Delhi's Lajpat Nagar on Wednesday night, allegedly killed by their domestic help following a scolding.

The victims, Ruchika Sewani (42) and her 14-year-old son Krish, were discovered in a pool of blood after police broke open the door of their residence. The shocking crime came to light around 9:30 pm when Kuldeep Sewani, Ruchika’s husband, returned home and found the door locked. Spotting blood stains on the staircase, he alerted the police.

Upon forced entry, police found Ruchika lying on the floor beside her bed, and Krish’s body in the bathroom, both covered in blood.

Ruchika ran a garment shop in the local market with her husband, while Krish was a Class 10 student.

Police have arrested Mukesh (24), a driver and shop helper, for the murders. A native of Bihar, Mukesh reportedly committed the crime after being scolded by Ruchika. He was caught while attempting to flee.

Further investigation is ongoing.

Horrible, tragic.Very sad .Sometimes people are also jealous about others richness .Nowadays one cant tell your workers any bad word or punishing .They simply dont come next day or like this murder.Very heartless.I dont think it was only because of scolding.Must have bit more than that.Whether anything to steal costly things.Since driver and helper wanted something more?Son and mother to kill so in a very hard way.May their soul rest in peace.Heartfelt sympathies to the husband.
