Mangaluru, Jul 2: In a stellar display of speed, strength, and determination, Aditi K P, a grade 6A student of St Agnes School (CBSE), emerged as a double gold medalist at the Karnataka State Kids Athletics Meet, organised by the Karnataka Athletics Association to mark World Kids Athletics Day. The prestigious championship, held on June 23, in Bengaluru, drew some of the most promising young athletes from across the state.
Representing the girls under-12 category, Aditi clinched first place in the 60 metres sprint, clocking a commendable time of 8.35 seconds, and went on to seize another gold in the long jump, recording an impressive leap of 3.38 metres. Both victories were secured under the auspices of the Karnataka Athletics Association, reflecting her rising stature in the field of athletics.


Aditi’s achievements are not confined to the track alone. As a bright student, she has consistently excelled in academics, exemplifying a well-rounded personality rooted in discipline and excellence. Her success is a reflection of the steadfast support of her parents, Dr Arun Kumar K and Geetha P, who have stood beside her as constant pillars of encouragement.
Her athletic journey has flourished under the expert tutelage of coach Dinesh Kunder, whose unwavering mentorship has been instrumental in unlocking her potential and honing her competitive edge.
Aditi’s triumph brings immense pride to St Agnes School (CBSE), illuminating the school’s commitment to nurturing talent in both scholastic and co-scholastic arenas. Echoing this spirit of dedication and accomplishment, Vivan Lionel Nazareth, another student from grade 6A, showcased his sporting talent in the field of badminton. The Global Sports Intra-Badminton Tournament was held at the Global Sports Arena, Vamanjoor, on June 27 and 28. Representing the school in the singles category, Vivan secured third place, earning a trophy and a Certificate of Achievement. His performance reflected consistent training, strategic play, and a commendable competitive spirit.
