Citizens Council, Mangaluru to host talk on Emergency of 1975 by Dr Ratan Sharda

Mangaluru, Jul 1: The Citizens Council, Mangaluru Chapter, will be organising a talk on "Emergency 1975: Democracy Derailed”, to be delivered by renowned author and columnist Dr Ratan Sharda. The programme will be held on Friday, July 4 at 5:30 pm at the TV Raman Pai Convention Centre, Kodialbail, Mangaluru.

Through this session, Dr Ratan Sharda will provide an insightful narrative on the political, social, and constitutional impacts of the Emergency, exploring how it reshaped Indian democracy and left a lasting legacy on the nation.

Dr Ratan Sharda is a noted author, commentator, and public intellectual known for his extensive writings on Indian politics, culture, and national issues.
