Mangaluru, Jun 30: A significant milestone was celebrated at St Theresa’s School, Bendur, on the 30th of June with the inauguration of a state-of-the-art e-library and the blessing of a newly acquired school bus. This remarkable event marks yet another step forward in the school’s pursuit of excellence, blending modern technology with its holistic approach to education.
The celebration began with a warm general introduction and welcome, setting a joyful and reverent tone for the proceedings. Excitement filled the air as the ribbon cutting ceremony signalled the official opening of the digital library—a new hub of learning and innovation.



































Following this, the lighting of the sacred lamp invoked blessings of wisdom and enlightenment, a symbolic gesture deeply rooted in tradition. The solemn blessing of the e-library soon followed, sanctifying a space designed to ignite curiosity and support independent learning. Equipped with digital tools and global resources, the facility promises to elevate the students’ research capabilities and technological proficiency.
The event was graced by the presence of esteemed guests: Sr Shaila, the correspondent; Fr Osmand, assistant parish priest of St Sebastian Church; Sr Shubha, superior of Bethany Convent; and Collette Cabral, vice president of the PTA. The chief guest of honour was Suyog Shetty, co-founder and CEO of Niveus Solutions, whose presence added special significance to the occasion.
After a formal introduction, the chief guest delivered a meaningful address, highlighting the importance of integrating technology in education and enhancing student welfare through improved infrastructure, such as the new school bus.
A delightful moment followed as students enthusiastically explored the e-library for the first time, their excitement evident as they interacted with the new digital interface—offering a glimpse into the future of learning.
The program proceeded with the blessing of the new school bus, dedicated to ensuring safer, more convenient transportation for the students.
The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, appreciating the contributions and presence of all who made the occasion memorable. Sr Lourdes, the principal, was specially thanked for her foresight and innovative ideas that made this vision a reality.
