Muzaffarnagar, Jun 28: In a shocking incident, a seven-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a 35-year-old man in Budhana town, Uttar Pradesh. The circle officer, Gajendra Pal Singh, reported that the crime occurred on Friday when the accused, a laborer at a nearby factory, lured the girl to a secluded area.
The victim's family discovered the horrific act when she returned home bleeding from her private parts. Following the complaint lodged by her family, police registered a case against the accused, identified as Raju, under relevant sections of the BNS and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
In a swift response, police arrested Raju on Saturday morning during an encounter, where he sustained bullet injuries while attempting to flee. He has since been taken to the government health community center in Budhana for medical treatment. Reports indicate that Raju has allegedly confessed to the crime.
