Udupi, June 26: The Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy, in association with Konkani Sahitya Kala and Samskritika Sanghatane, Udupi, and Catholic Sabha Milagres Unit, Kallianpur, will organise a unique workshop titled ‘Voviyo–Verse’, focused on traditional Konkani wedding songs, on June 29, 2025. The event will take place at the A.V. Hall of Milagres College, Kallianpur.
Academy president Joachim Stany Alvares will preside over the programme. Monsignor Ferdinand Gonsalves, a senior priest of the Udupi diocese, will inaugurate the event, while Dr Vincent Alva, principal of Milagres College, will attend as chief guest.
The programme will also be graced by Catholic Sabha Milagres Unit president Marceline Sera and Dr Flavia Castelino, president of Konkani Sahitya Kala and Samskritika Sanghatane, as guests of honour.
Resource persons Irene Rebello, Anil D’Cunha, and Glenn D’Souza will conduct the workshop sessions.
At the valedictory ceremony, Walter Cyril Pinto, proprietor of Fedar Communication, Kallianpur, will be present as a guest.
