Udupi, Jun 26: Charles Ambler was elected unanimously as the president of Jilla Alpa Sankyathara Vedike (R) Udupi district.
The election was held on Tuesday Jun 24, at Hotel Manipal Inn auditorium.
The other office bearers include Shanthi Periera as vice president, T M Jafrulla as secretary, Roshani Olivera as joint secretary, M S Khan as treasurer, Ismail Hussain Katapady as past president were elected.
Fr Charles Menezes, Alphonse D’Costa, Baikady Hussain, Walter Cyril Pinto, Valerian Fernandes, Salavudiin, Mary D’Souza Udyavar have been elected as the consultants.
Dr Gerald Pinto has been selected as the editor of 'Sampark' magazine. The election was conducted by former president Dr Gerald Pinto.
